Royal Tarlair Golf Club, Macduff

In a beautiful spot on the cliffs above Tarlair cove, the Royal Tarlair Golf Club is considered one of the most scenic, especially the 3rd/13th clifftop holes that don’t leave room for error.

With a fascinating local history, the Royal Tarlair Golf Club started as a club with members burying empty cocoa tins in the ground, and in 1923 the burgh council made the decision to build a proper course, designed by George Smith, at the time a professional working at Lossiemouth.
