Portsoy Lido

A salt water swimming pool constructed between two rocky outcrops, with side steps at the mid water mark, and a ramp at the shallow beach end. The deepest part is little more than a metre, though rough tides can easily overcome the unwary.

Closed to the public now, the pool had its heyday in the mid 20th century, after construction in 1936. Originally, there was a changing room and snack shop on site, now demolished.
