A two day festival held each year in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, UK to promote and showcase local food production. Usually on the first weekend in September, the festival coincides with the Scottish Food Fortnight.
The Saturday events centre around the monthly Farmers Market in The Square, which is expanded for this month to include stalls which do not normally appear. It will have demonstrations by local producers and other food businesses. It hosts the now annual World Stovies competition and other competitions such as Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook, tablet and shortbread.
On Sunday the action moves to the Mart on the outskirts of the town for displays and demonstrations connected with farming and food production. Includes butchery demonstrations, rare breeds, sheep shearing, pigeon plucking and more.
